Ayobami Asaju

Electronic patient records were reviewed in two audit cycles. Consecutive patients receiving lower limb immobilisation with non-weight bearing status were included. Cycle 1 included patients treated in the Emergency Department (ED) with lower limb injuries. Cycle 2 included 3 groups (Acute lower limb injuries seen in ED; ORIF ankle patients; elective foot and surgery patients). Electronic drug prescription and VTE risk assessment forms were reviewed.
